Villa Giada is in the heart of Piedmont, on the hills recognized as Unesco world Heritage site. The winery is on Ceirole hill, few km from Asti and Alba, near the village of Canelli, halfway between Langhe and Monferrato. Near the winery soil is mainly calcareous mar l and is the best to express the character of white grapes. Here we have Cortese, Chardonna y and Sauvignon, but the undoubted king is Moscato d’ Asti. The vineyards near the village of Agliano Terme, at Cascina Dani are in the well known area of Nizza. Soil is rich in minerals originated from marine sediments and produces full bodied red wines, very elegant, with finesse, minerali ty and longevi- ty. Barbera has founded here the perfect terroir. Gamba di Pernice vineyards is near the village of Calosso and is one of the oldest grape variety of our region. Harvest and selection of grapes are strictly made by hand. It is a wine that goes well with appetizers and light main courses. Excellent as an aperitif too. Dry with good minerality and acidity, it is very elegant and intense.
